Do you think it's possible that Ptolemy's chronology of Persian kings is too long? That Cyrus became sole-rex over Babylon circa 450 B.C. ?
Here is an article that refutes that notion:

But I can't help but see Cyrus' decree being the one that sets off the 483 years "unto Messiah the Prince" (Dan.9:25).
